What is BlenderGPT?

BlenderGPT is an AI 3D assistant that connects to Blender and builds what you describe: it turns plain text or a single image into a textured 3D model in roughly 20 seconds, searches and imports ready-made assets, auto-rigs characters in one click, and edits lighting or materials through conversation. The BlenderGPT AI assistant runs in the cloud, so there is no API key to configure and nothing heavy to install — a small add-on (Blender 4.2 or newer) keeps your scene in two-way sync.

It was built by the developer behind the original open-source BlenderGPT script and relaunched as a full product in November 2024. The free plan costs $0 forever and includes asset search plus scene sync; paid plans start at $14 per month billed yearly. Full plan details are on the pricing page.
